Launch of new recovery-focussed services in Burgess Hill

Tuesday 9 April 2013 saw the official launch of Sussex Oakleaf’s two new accommodation based recovery-focussed mental health services in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

The services were officially opened by the Deputy Town Mayor of Burgess Hill, Anne Jones MBE.

Oak House, a 14 bed 24 hour registered care service will provide accommodation for 6-18 months for adults with mental health and complex needs. The focus of the service is to provide intensive support to enable individuals to move on to more independent accommodation.

Willow House, a 6 bed supported housing service will provide accommodation for up to 6 months for adults with mental health and complex needs, before being supported to move on to more independent accommodation.

Graham Maunders, Chair of Sussex Oakleaf commented: “Sussex Oakleaf are delighted to be opening this new scheme. This pioneering model combines our social enterprise working alongside the private sector to make the best use of resources to meet local housing and support needs.”
