Day services

‘Recovery is about rebuilding a meaningful and satisfying life, whether or not there are ongoing or re-occurring symptoms and problems... it’s about ensuring that people have access to the supportive relationships they need’
Repper and Perkins, 2003

Sussex Oakleaf day services are for adults aged 18-65 with mental health problems in Crawley and Mid Sussex. The service includes Stepping Stones resource centre in Crawley, and Mid Sussex Day Services, which offers a range of services run from different community venues in Mid Sussex. We offer social and structured support to members and groups in the community, including social drop-in services, an activity group, a Creative Expressions group and the Discussion And Action Group. The service runs five days a week including evenings and weekends.

Sussex Oakleaf day services aims to support members in their journey to recovery by enabling them to build on their strengths, develop their skills and find individual ways of coping. We aim to help members overcome the challenges they face and regain control over their life, giving real hope for the future.

We believe it is really important for members to be central in making decisions about the service. We have monthly member’s meetings which are active in developing the service policy and direction. Members also organise events, groups and activities, using money raised by members themselves.
