Can you help our mission to improve mental health and well-being across Sussex?
Sussex Oakleaf is a not for profit organisation working across Sussex to provide a range of services to improve mental health and wellbeing.
We are a client focused organisation that empowers people and promotes independence by providing recovery focused community wellbeing services, residential care, supported housing, suicide prevention and crisis management, specialist personality disorder services and peer mentoring. We work in close partnership with the people who use our services to design and deliver personalised support, plus to offer real paid work and volunteering opportunities.
We are ambitious and want to expand our role in Sussex, developing new and innovative approaches. Consequently we require voluntary Board members with relevant skills and experience – particularly in relation to:
• Delivery / commissioning of mental health services
- Clinical expertise as a practitioner - NHS or Commissioning Groups
- Adult Social Care
- Research or academia
The ideal candidates will have a good understanding of best practice in the delivery of services to people with a mental illness in the community and the interface with medical inpatient services. An appreciation of related changes in policy, changes to service delivery in the NHS and local government, and funding to support services is also important.
• We are also recruiting for skills and experience in relation to Human Resources You will need to demonstrate commitment to a high level of client engagement, equality and diversity, teamwork, championing issues/services, accountability and outcomes-based service provision.
