Workshops & activities

We will running a range of workshops and activities throughout the day, all aimed at promoting better mental health for you and your families.

There's no need to book just turn up on the day and take part as much or as little as you'd like. All the workshops are designed to be bite-sized and will last no longer than 45 minutes.

Learn how to unlock your potential with this fun interactive workshop delivered by Burgess Hill Academy.

Coping with anxiety

This bite-size workshop will help you to explore anxiety and learn new ways to cope. Delivered by Sussex Oakleaf, this is a stripped-down version of the popular course currently delivered through Sussex Recovery College.

Slow cooking yourself to success
1.30pm 
Come along to our taster session for a fun introduction to healthy slow-cooking, with a particular view to planning meals around a working routine. PLUS come along to the Clarion Futures stand throughout the day for a chance to win and take home your own slow-cooker!

The foundations of happiness

Most of us have probably never thought about what happiness means exactly; we know it when we feel it and we spend our lives pursuing it. This workshop is for those wanting to discuss their own definition of happiness and learn from others about theirs.

Spotting & training the black dog

During this workshop we will take a look at the signs and symptoms that could alert us that we, or someone we know, is beginning to struggle with their mental health. We will then look at how we can have the conversation with someone about this and some ways that can help manage depression.

Learn about the vital relationship that our food plays with our mental health. Find out how small changes to our diets can add up to big improvements to our mental health. Delivered by the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Team.

Many of us struggle to get a good night’s sleep and the impact on our mental health can be huge. Improve your sleep with a few tips and tricks for a more peaceful slumber.
