Sussex Oakleaf would like to say a huge well done and thank you to our Head of HR & Training, Parul Chatterjee, who has just completed the Big Fun Run Brighton 2018.
Parul completed the 5km run alongside her son and has very kindly been raising money for Sussex Oakleaf. Parul smashed her £250 target, raising £293.75 with Gift Aid. The funds will be used to help us to provide our valuable services which help people across Sussex who are struggling with their mental health.
After completing the run in just over 30 minutes, Parul had the following to say:
“Since joining Sussex Oakleaf as Head of HR & Training I have seen the fantastic work that the organisation does. It has been a real eye opener to see the impact that poor mental health can have on people but humbling to see the fantastic work being done by our staff and volunteers.
My son decided to join me on my run which was a big boost and helped me to reach the end. Despite being tired when I finished, it was great to bump into MP for Hove, Peter Kyle. We had a chance to discuss Sussex Oakleaf and the importance of providing quality mental health support to those who need it. It was great to learn that Peter is aware of the great work that we do, and it just shows the high regard which our staff and services are held in.”
