Staff, volunteers and clients from across our services descended on the Martlets Hall in Burgess Hill for a day focussed on ‘Wellbeing and Work’. The feedback we received has been really positive and we are already looking forward to next years event!
As always, the most moving part of the day was hearing first hand testimony from our clients. Their stories of recovery and hearing about their personal experiences of mental illness reminded us why services like ours are so vital.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Sophie Cook who appeared as our keynote speaker for the day. Her talk was inspiring and brought a few tears and a lot of laughs. Please visit her website to find out more about the brilliant work that she does.
The day also saw us launching our Annual Report. The report highlights the fantastic work that we do across our services and the recovery stories, again, attest to the importance of our work. Click the link below to read our Annual Report now:
We also had a chance to recognise the hard work that our staff and volunteers do with this years ‘Extra Mile Awards’. Congratulations to all of our winner, they are representative of the hard work and dedication that goes on throughout Sussex Oakleaf.
