24 HOUR REGISTERED CARE

Sussex Oakleaf provides a range of short to longer term residential services across Sussex. These services offer accommodation and 24 hour support to individuals, male and female, from diverse backgrounds living with enduring mental health conditions and who may have other additional support needs. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and have also worked with a number of people who have Korsakoff Syndrome.

They provide clients with confidence, skills, and choices to enable them to work towards becoming as self-reliant and independent as possible, to promote fulfillment and an enhanced quality of life.

The nature of the support is very much community focused, with peer support and client involvement being key components, alongside appropriate positive risk taking, which is viewed as an essential part of learning and recovery.

OAKHOUSE - BURGESS HILL

Oak House offers planned placements with a maximum stay of 18 months for up to 14 people. The service is suitable for people with mental health needs who are 18 or older. This includes people with complex needs, with forensic histories and those with substance misuse issues / dual diagnosis. Clients need to be recovery focussed and have basic daily living skills.

The service can support people to move on from residential care or hospital into more independent living situations and ideally to living independently in the community. The staff team is skilled and experienced in successfully enabling people to move on to lower support services.
