Peer Mentoring - Lived Experience
We provide one to one and group support from paid and volunteer Peer Mentors in Crawley and Mid Sussex. Peer Mentors use their lived experiences of mental illness to create a supportive environment in which you can discuss you can achieve your goals and aspirations.
These are just some of the things that Peer Mentoring could support you with:
• Help to achieve your goals
• Support to attend new groups and activities
• Help to attend important appointments
• Help to find work, learning or voluntary opportunities
We can also offer you the chance to gain an accredited Peer Mentoring qualification through our twelve week training programme. The course offers a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and gain confidence. Once completed, many learners go on to become Peer Mentors themselves.
The next course is due to start in October and will run in Crawley. To stay up to date with Sussex Oakleaf news and to be kept informed about the next course then please join our mailing list.
