Temporary Housing Services

TEMPORARY HOUSING SERVICES

Sussex Oakleaf provides a temporary accommodation service in Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath to adults with a vulnerability that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. All clients are referred directly from the Mid Sussex District Council Housing Needs Team.

The service aims to enable clients to gain confidence, engage with relevant support agencies, comply with statutory orders and develop the skills to then move on and manage their own homes.

Staff will discuss tenancy management needs on an individual basis and from this discussion; together we will write and agree an action plan. We link in with external support providers to ensure additional support needs, where identified, are met.

The service is short term housing and clients are expected to move on to more permanent accommodation which includes other housing associations, private rented, specialist housing or supported housing.
